Merrie Giles

Merrie Giles moved to Ridgecrest, CA, situated in the Indian Wells Valley, in 1984. The beauty of the desert is apparent in every sunrise and sunset photo Merrie takes, and she treasures each colorful shot. She has pursued a career in finance, but her true love is anything but black and white. Merrie is happiest when creating... writing, painting, photography, and stained glass. She volunteers within the local community, donating her art to local museums for fund raising, her time through the animal shelter during the summer, and adopting any good cause that comes her way. Merrie's coloring books, created initially for craft days with her grandson, are now a passion that keeps the ideas flowing as she helps other author's by editing and illustrating their books along with her own. Her novel, "Choose Your Own Path", was initially put together as a what-if scenario concocted to highlight ideas for using new property purchased within the family. A true belief of Merrie's is that a busy soul is a happy soul.
