Fun facts:
Cindy grew up on a farm in northwestern Minnesota, the second oldest of eight children. Cindy attended high school for a year in the Philippines. Upon her return, she attended the University of North Dakota and University of North Dakota School of Law. She has practiced as an attorney for the past twenty-nine years in private and public sector, local government and corporate sectors.
Journey:
After being married for 17 years, she made the difficult decision to file for divorce and has been a single professional parent since 2006, but actually she was a single professional parent long before the divorce. She has two sons, Blake and Ian. Blake attends college at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Ian attends Columbine High School.
Passions:
Over the years, Cindy has been more than a single professional parent. Because the crochet and knitting gene did not pass to her, she turned to endurance sports since motherhood is an endurance sport. She is passionate about being a mom, swimming, road biking, skiing, traveling, having good skin, and genuinely connecting with other single parents. Cindy enjoys coaching and guiding other single professional parents on how to GET what they want. Cindy is one of the few certified GET statement coaches.
Books:
Cindy has written and featured in four books. “Blow Your Nose, Pull up Your Socks and Get on with It, The 5 keys to Successful Parenting” is designed as a no-nonsense practical guide to raise adjusted children. Based on the many adventures of Ms. Beyer, it provides some humor and have you on the edge of your seat when reading. It discusses parenting and will guide the reader in looking for their own life examples to inspire their children to be best versions of themselves.
Cindy was featured in “Conceived to Lead: Breaking the Glass Ceiling”. It is an anthology of leadership stories by women. It became a #1 International Best Selling book on Amazon.
