Dr Ji Eng

Dr Ji Eng graduated in medicine from the University of Cambridge, England and trained as a heart surgeon. His practice in heart surgery has given him a unique insight into the causes and management of heart disease and diabetes. His special interest in healthy nutrition has awakened the realization that what we believe to be the gospel truths might well be based on misconceptions. This prompted him to study the link between fat and diseases. While diabetes is the result of our body's inability to handle sugar, it is not the sugar that caused the disease in the first place. In the case of heart disease, while raised cholesterol is an indicator for increased risk, it is not the cholesterol that causes heart disease. He emphasizes the important of fats in our diet and demonstrates how choosing the right fat is absolutely essential for our health.

In dealing with infectious diseases, our body relies on the strength of the immune system. This has been damaged through years of exposure to damaged polyunsaturated fats and oils such that when exposed to any infectious agents including viruses like Covid-19, severe infection and death may occur. Since this change affects all populations of the world, the stage is set for the emergence of pandemic as demonstrated by the Covid-19 virus. The way to overcome all these is to go for healthy nutrition especially with regards to avoiding and eliminating damaged polyunsaturated fats and oils.
