Steven David Lampley is a 21-year veteran police officer and former Special Victims Unit (SVU) detective whose career placed him on the front lines of violent crime, forensic investigation, and criminal psychology. His cases have been featured on national television networks including Investigation Discovery, TruTV, and The Discovery Channel, and in major print media such as The New York Times and Los Angeles Times.

He served as the negotiator and arresting officer of a serial killer featured on America’s Most Wanted and worked closely with the FBI, United States Postal Inspection Service, and the U.S. Department of Justice.

Steven is the former host of Crime & Forensics, a nationally syndicated radio show, and a frequent guest on Crime Stories with Nancy Grace. He teaches seminars nationwide on deception detection and forensic analysis.

As an author, he brings readers inside real investigations, revealing the truth behind forensic evidence and criminal behavior.
