Stuart Murray

Dr Stuart Murray is Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco. He completed a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology, and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Sydney, where his research focused on male eating disorders. He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Diego, where his research and clinical practice focused on novel adaptations of family therapy for adolescent eating disorders. He currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Eating Disorder Program at the University of California, San Francisco, and serves as Director of the Program's Intensive Family Therapy Program. Dr. Murray has published over 75 peer-reviewed manuscripts to date, and his research interests have focused on male eating disorders, innovations to family therapy-based treatments for eating disorders, and novel treatment development. He serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Eating Disorders, and Eating Disorders: The Journal of Treatment & Prevention, and as Director of the National Association for Males with Eating Disorders.
