Brian McPhee

Hi, and thanks for visiting. I am the author of historical novels with settings as varied as Leonardo’s studio, to Glasgow shipyards in the 1930s, to wartime Italy. More recently I have published a series of ‘Books to Inspire Young People’ and other non-fiction works.

I am a dual UK/US citizen, born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. At 21 I left for the bright lights of London where I spent the next 20+ years, until I moved with my wife and daughter to New York and then to Annapolis, MD, on the Chesapeake Bay.

In 2011 we relocated once again, to a 13th-century village in SW France. As John Lennon wrote, 'Life is not a rehearsal.'

Whether writing fiction or non-fiction, my passion is thorough and extensive research in order to immerse myself and my readers in a setting or idea that will entertain or inform them.
