Robyn Abdusamad is a bestselling author who was born and raised in North Carolina and has been writing books since the age of 14.
She is an active member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and founder of Omera Productions, a publishing and multimedia company created to diversify the representation of African American children's books and animation. She was invited to speak at the 2018 National Black Book Festival in Houston, TX and has been featured in "30 Muslim Women Writers, Telling Their Own Stories", "Black Muslim Authors and 30+ of Their Books to Read", "African Americans on the Move Book Club" and "American Airlines Employee Spotlight". Additionally, she has been interviewed for her writings and company by Radio Islam, A.I.C. Publications, Muslim Journal, About Islam and Dr. Boyce Watkins Intellectual Chocolate podcast. She has worked in management roles for National Multiple Sclerosis Society, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and Guilford County Schools.

She earned a B.A. in Communications-Public Relations from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a M.S. in Public Administration (with honors) from National University.
When she's not writing Robyn is spending quality time with her family and friends, traveling or volunteering in the community. She resides in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area with her husband and three children.
