Carol Jenkner

Carol Jenkner is a middle school teacher in Dodge City, Kansas. She shares her home with three lazy cats, none of whom provide inspiration for her stories. Instead, inspiration comes from road kill, historical trivia and life events. Her characters are creations of her imagination and do not mimic friends and acquaintances. Protagonists are creative, friendly, kind and smart. Her characters inhabit communities based loosely on real places and each book builds on characters from previous stories. Each book presents a mystery inside of a mystery with a conclusion that often leads to the next book's mysteries. Carol has been writing nonfiction for a variety of publications for many years, but has recently ventured into fiction. She has been a story teller since her children were small and her stories kept them entertained on long car trips. She currently has one completed crime/mystery novel, Road Kill, and two more in the Road Kill series begun. She has also begun two more series that introduce a West Texas cowboy and a World War Era British woman as protagonists.
