Hello! Welcome to a world of science, curiosity, exploration, and FUN! Around here, we make messes, take chances, make mistakes, and explore the world around us with curiosity and discovery! I believe that even the smallest questions can lead you on an epic voyage of learning and discovery, and with science, the world comes alive right before your eyes in the most fascinating ways!

I began my journey with science with my young daughter. When she started asking "why does the sun shine?", "where does the moon go?", and "where do butterflies come from?", we started taking her questions outside as we explored our world to find the answers. With experimentation, observation, and journeying through our city to meet scientists and explorers, we've taken whatever sparks our curiosity and turned it into a lifelong journey of learning, discovery, and exploration!

Since then, we've taken our experiments to kids at the library with our annual science summer camps, and to the set of NBC Channel 12's Arizona Midday, where we share our favorite science experiments that kids and parents can do right in their home! This year, I've taken our favorite at home experiments and put them all in one place with Pop Sizzle Boom: 101 Experiments for the Mad Scientist in Every Kid!

I spend my time experimenting with my kids at home, and love to write about the experiments we do! I love to find ways to explore that require easy to find materials, things that can be found in hardware and grocery stores. Things that are safe, fun, thrilling, and of course, adventurous! I believe science is for everyone, from our smallest toddler explorers, all the way up to the seasoned teenage or adult scientist! I love the expression and creativity that comes with scientific exploration, as well as seeing how the world can come alive in new and beautiful ways as we learn more about how it works, and how we fit into it.

So welcome! I hope you have a great time finding ways to explore science with your kids! Take a look outside, ask questions, and set yourself on an epic learning adventure!

Happy Exploring!
