Srinivaasan Balakrishnan is a strategic affairs professional, researcher, and policy analyst focused on geopolitics, security, and global power dynamics. He currently serves as Director of Strategic Engagements & Partnerships at the Indic Researchers Forum (IRF), a Delhi-based national security and strategic think tank, where he works closely with policymakers, bureaucrats, diplomats, and strategic communities to advance India’s long-term strategic interests.

A Visiting Professor at APG Shimla University, an author and a columnist. A regular contributor on international affairs and security issues to leading International and Indian media outlets, including South China Morning Post, Sputnik, CNA, India Today, Dainik Jagran, and News 24.

He has represented India at international forums, including the International Youth Leadership Conference (Prague), and serves on commissions and advisory bodies linked to IUCN, UNFCCC, and global biodiversity and climate governance initiatives.
