A lifelong entrepreneur, Ryan Herd has been in the audio-video Industry for over 27 years. Ryan started his first business at the age of 19. He invented new audio concepts and proprietary technology in automotive sound design. Ryan won national recognition for excellence and creativity within the car audio industry. In early 2000 Ryan established his first audio/ visual company. The switch to residential audio/visual integration pushed him to increase his education, certification, and experience in home integration systems, to stay on the cutting edge in audio/video applications. Within three years, he had built a dynamic, technically superior, and customer-driven team, which designed and built some of the most impressive high-end custom home theaters in existence today.

Today, Ryan is Owner and CEO of 1 Sound Choice, LLC, specializing in Smart Home Automation. He currently consults in the industry and is a sought-after panelist and conference/trade show speaker. He offers unique insight into smart home technology, the Internet of Things (IoT) and the significance of technology in the home today.
