Katrina VanHuss

Katrina VanHuss has been installing passion in volunteer fundraisers since 1989. She is the founder and CEO of Turnkey, nonprofits’ leading source of strategy and execution for peer-to-peer fundraising programs. She works with the likes of the American Lung Association, JDRF, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Alzheimer’s Association, using human behavioral tendencies to create attachment and high fundraising in volunteers. She publishes a weekly blog on psychology and fundraising, Peeling the Onion, for NonProfit Pro.

When not writing or researching, Katrina likes to make things – furniture from reclaimed wood, new gardens, food with no recipe. Katrina’s favorite Saturday is spent cleaning out the garage, mowing the grass, making something new, all while listening to loud music by now-deceased black women, throwing in a few sets on the weight bench, then collapsing on the couch with her husband Otis to binge-watch new Netflix series whilst drinking sauvignon blanc.
