Claudio Abate

Claudio Abate graduated in 1971 in Modern Languages and Literatures at Bari "Aldo Moro" State University. He worked abroad as an Italian language teacher seconded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is a registered sworn translator and interpreter at Milan Law Court since 1983 and an accredited legal translator at Milan General British Consulate. In 1998 he published his first book " Il documento legale anglosassone" for Hoepli Publisher, Milan viewable on GoogleBook (https://books.google.fi/books/about/Il_documento_legale_anglosassone_una_rac.html?id=cCTLiuNyQEoC&redir_esc=y&hl=en ). The book lists a collection of bilingual legal and financial texts with comments on translation. He has worked for language colleges both in Italy and abroad and is now a teacher in legal translation and a freelance translator for Law Firms in Milan area.
