As such she has worked with leading property companies, commercial developers, both private and social housing providers, architects, interior designers and local authorities. Clients have included British Land, Broadgate Estates, Chestertons, Carter Jonas, CBRE, Next, More London, O&H Properties, Sainsbury’s Supermarkets, Capital Shopping Centres and Essential Living.
The founder of ConsultOnline, Penny is a consultation specialist who makes pioneering use of social media and web-based communications. Her online consultations for Bayfordbury Estates, Next, Scotch Corner Designer Village and Essential Land have met with substantial approval from local authorities and local communities alike and have resulted in planning consents being granted for contentious schemes.
Penny has written extensively on the subject of communications for property publications. Her first book, Public Consultation and Community Involvement in Planning: A Twenty-First Century Guide was published by Routledge in 2017. Promoting Property: insight, experience and best practice was published in April 2020 and Communicating Construction: insight, experience and best practice was published in March 2021.
Penny is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and founded the CIPR’s Construction and Property Special Interest Group. She is also an Associate of the Consultation Institute.
