Jeanice B. Thomas

Author Jeanice Brown Thomas is a retired research chemist who had humble beginnings. The author grew up in Virginia during the Civil Rights Movement and when schools were being desegregated. In her first memoir, "Breaking through Barriers: The Journey," the author describes some of the challenges that she faced as a child because she was viewed as being different from the accepted norm. While her memoirs detail her experiences during such tumultuous times, the author shares her story to offer hope to those who may be struggling to overcome difficulties in life. Each of the author's children's books is a true reflection of her childhood experiences. Her children's book "I am Different, I am Loved" is written to encourage children who feel that they are being bullied. "I Want to be a Scientist!" is written to inspire children to believe in themselves and to NEVER GIVE UP on their dreams. The author's mantra is "Life is only a journey. Embrace it and trust God."
