Dave Butler

Dave Butler is a forester and biologist living in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains in British Columbia, Canada. He's the author of the Jenny Willson mystery series (Dundurn Press). The first in the series -- 'Full Curl' -- won the Arthur Ellis Award for Best First Crime Novel in 2018, and was shortlisted for the Rakuten Kobo Emerging Writer award in the mystery category. The 2nd and 3rd novels in the series -- 'No Place for Wolverines', and 'In Rhino We Trust' -- are also available.

Dave's writing and images have appeared in many magazines and newspapers. When he's not writing fiction, Dave is a tourism professional, and a rabid fly-fisher.

Dave is a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal winner, and a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society.
