Matt Minor has taught in elementary schools for almost two decades in the US, South Korea, Thailand, Colombia, and China. During this time he has visited over 35 countries on five continents enjoying the culture, food, and people wherever he lands. Throughout all of these experiences one common theme has always emerged when talking with other travelers and international educators; they all have interesting stories to tell. Alongside his friend and fellow international teacher, Kevin A. Duncan, the two have curated two volumes of "The New Normal: Tales from International School Teachers," which offer a platform for overseas educators to tell their tales and raise money for The Children of Haiti Project while doing so.
