Shannon Eavenson

Miriam Richard (Shannon Eavenson) was born in Dallas, TX where she has resided her whole life. She received her degree from the University of Texas in Austin. Miriam practiced physical therapy for many years and keeps her licensing up to date. These days, Miriam is primarily focused on her husband and three children. All around the park cities she is seen walking her two labradoodles and yellow lab, training, eating healthy food, and bringing smiles to all the local businesses. Recently a health coach, Miriam published the book Gut Feeling ; Gut Healing (under the pen Shannon Eavenson) to empower people to think out of the box and consider holistic medical options for their health journey. This birthed the idea for Dogs in Vests. Miriam and her husband joined forces with a local charity organization they support to encourage and promote multiple people's strengths from writing, dog training, as well as videography/editing, and even marketing. The Dogs in Vests team is training their third puppy from Novacek 84 Labradoodles to detect low blood sugar and find starches or grains in food. Primarily, the team's goal is to spread the word about owner trained service animals/emotional support animals. All proceeds of the book pay for the food and medical needs for the life of the first donated dog (Mazie), to help the Ladewig family.

"Most of Miriam's time is spent growing people." - Vic Fadool (Co-Author of Dogs in Vests)
