I was born on May 8, 1974 in East Lansing, Michigan. My parents moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina in 1977 where I grew up until I graduated high school. I attended East Carolina University in Greenville, NC from 1992-1996 and graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. After graduation I moved to Raleigh, NC where I worked in various roles in Marketing and Advertising. It was during this time that the Lord led me to become involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization as a mentor. I ended up mentoring my little brother JJ from 2000-2006 and another little brother Damion from 2006 to 2013. For my years of service I was given (undeservedly) the President’s Award for Service by Cokie Robert’s on behalf of George W. Bush. Shortly after, I was married to my wonderful bride Kathy on February 28th, 2009. She is a tremendous blessing from God. We have two children, Chloe and Micah. We currently reside in Fuquay Varina, NC, which is a town just outside of Raleigh. As a Christian, God has given me a passion to teach the Bible expositionally. This style of teaching helps to interpret correct context and meaning by going verse by verse through the bible. Being of Greek heritage I have enjoyed studying the ancient Greek and was able to glean an even greater understanding than the English translation presents. My desire to teach scripture prompted a desire to write books. I loved God’s word so much that I wanted to convey it to people in writing, but how? After praying, God reminded me of when I was a child in school writing fantasy tales when given a writing assignment. This seemed to be the avenue that the Lord wanted me to take. I wrote a partial allegory, but not a full allegory like Pilgrim’s Progress. The name of the book was, “Athanasia: The Great Insurrection”. I wrote it in three months and went through seven rounds of revisions over a five year period. During this time I tested this work by entering it into Inkitt's "Echo of Another World" contest. I won third place, so I decided to publish this work independently. On April 4, 2016 he published his book through Amazon KDP after some 50+ rejections from agents and publishers. This book is the first book in a six book series.
Since then, I have written a commentary on the book of Jude in the Bible called, "Agonizing For The Faith". I did a thorough breakdown of the Greek so that the reader could better understand the text. It is written in a way in which both the pastor and layman can understand this complex epistle that challenges the believer to contend against false teachers in the church. I have also written the second book in the Athanasia series called, "Athanasia: The Unknown Lands.
