Mary L. Varga

Mary Varga is the survivor of a traumatic brain injury in 1997 that left her with a balance disability and slight speech impairment. Despite her mobility challenges, Mary is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and a Fitour Certified Senior Fitness Instructor. She owns a business called SilverStrength®, leading exercise classes for seniors in Louisville, KY. She’s on the board of directors of the Brain Injury Alliance of Kentucky (BIAK), presenting the Mary Varga Award every year at their annual gala, the Brain Ball.

Mary is also a member of Louisville Christian Writers (LCW) and attends weekly Bible Study at Bible Study Fellowship (BSF).

A University of Kentucky graduate, Mary lives in her hometown of Louisville, KY. Mary’s son, Andrew is grown and working towards his college degree. Her family of origin is 8, but the good Lord has seen fit to increase them greatly.
