Barbara Mould Young, MN, MHP, RN, made a career in public health and teaching. She has explored community and cultures from the interior of Brazil to the Native American lands on the Pacific Coast. Barbara has blended insights from mental health teaching into a variety of art forms: sculpture, welding, poetry, prose. Through her unique combination of art, storytelling and cultural connection, she has designed and facilitated mask-making workshops to enable others to tell their stories. As an avid traveler, she immerses herself into the culture or landscape, sketchbook always in hand to capture adventure, nature, and the world around her. She studied Nursing at The Ohio State University, earned her Masters in Health Planning at the University of Cincinnati and her Masters of Nursing at the University of Washington. Barbara has three daughters, four grandchildren and Zelda the cat.
