Jamie Blackett fell into writing by accident when, thirty three years after leaving school, he received a surprise commission to write the biography of his old tutor, Michael Kidson. He spent 20 years in the Army before returning to his roots in Dumfries and Galloway where he is a farmer by day and a writer by night.
