Omar Figueroa

Omar Figueroa is a graduate of Yale College, Stanford Law School, and the Trial Lawyers College. He founded the Law Offices of Omar Figueroa in San Francisco in 1998, and has more than two decades of experience practicing cannabis law in the Golden State. The Law Offices of Omar Figueroa is one of the leading cannabis licensing, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property law firms in California.

Omar regularly teaches Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses to lawyers on cannabis-related subjects -- including Legal Ethics, the Adult Use of Marijuana Act (AUMA), and the Medicinal and Adult-Use Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act (MAUCRSA) -- and has presented to numerous professional associations, including the San Francisco Bar Association, the Sonoma County Bar Association, and the Napa County Bar Association.

Omar's expertise with regard to cannabis is not merely legal; he is an expert at judging world-class cannabis as well, and has served as one of the judges for the world-famous Emerald Cup in Northern California. Omar is also a member of the Ganjier Founder's Council, and helped develop the curriculum for the Ganjier (cannabis sommelier) certification, as well as the Systematic Assessment Protocol for judging fine cannabis.
