Stacia Pelletier is the author of Accidents of Providence (under Stacia M. Brown) and The Half Wives (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt/Mariner), both of which were shortlisted for the Townsend Prize in Fiction. She holds an MDiv from Candler School of Theology and a PhD in religion and historical theology from Emory University. She has been a Woodruff Fellow, a W.M. Keck Foundation Fellow, and a 2025 American Antiquarian Society fellow. Her newest novel, The Deliverance of Barker McRae, will be published in September 2025 by Mercer University Press.
