Jill Pickford

Jill Pickford began writing in 2013, inspired by the antics of the feline residents of The Critter Room, a foster home for rescue cats and kittens near Seattle, presided over by "Foster Dad John". Her short stories and comic poems found an enthusiastic audience amongst the global community of "Kitten Cam" viewers and she began to maintain a blog called "KittenKamKattery". In 2017, "Sing to the Moon: Tales from the Kitten Cam", her first anthology of kitten cam related stories, was self-published as a fundraiser for Purrfect Pals, the Seattle shelter which sponsors The Critter Room. She has also contributed to "Be Their Voice: Anthologies for Rescue", a collection of animal rescue themed works published by Rogena Mitchell-Jones. Jill lives in Colchester, in the East of England, and continues to write, aided and abetted by her rescue cat, Sybil.
