Paul Banwell

Paul Banwell Is a Plastic & Cosmetic Surgeon based in the South East of England & London. Paul has developed an international reputation in the fields of cosmetic surgery, skin health and skin cancer and lectures worldwide on these subjects. He has published extensively (over 100 papers, monographs and books) and is a Visiting Professor of Plastic Surgery to Harvard Medical School.

Paul specialises in all aspects of cosmetic surgery but is particularly well known for cosmetic gynaecology, cosmetic breast surgery and mummy makeovers. He has also pioneered some of the latest concepts in skin health and cosmeceuticals and is the Founder of Skin Consulting. He is a recognized expert in labiaplasty surgery and has developed a new anatomical classification of female anatomy and promoted understanding of previously unrecognised anatomical variations. He has also Co-Edited a definitive educational resource entitled ‘Female Genital Cosmetic Surgery – concept, classification and technique’ published by Thieme.

Paul is a full member of the British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). He is frequently quoted in the National Media for expert opinion, was in The Times UK Top 100 doctors and has recently been recognised for his skills in the Tatler Cosmetic Surgery and Beauty Guide. In his leisure time, Paul collects modern art, Japanese tsubas, and enjoys surfing, skiing, running and martial arts.
