MBA, Ariel Shaw

Ariel Shaw, MBA is an award-winning business savvy woman who is founder of multiple businesses and initiatives. She has an extensive background in government, politics, and business and is responsible for the start of multiple businesses, medical practices, and political victories across Georgia and the Carolinas. Ariel is the founder of Southern Crescent Women In Business Inc., a member based organization that seeks to provide foundational support for women-owned business throughout the Southern Crescent, through education, empowerment and funding. Ariel has also founded the first Women's Business Center on the Southside of Atlanta, The Southern Crescent Women Business Center.

Recommended to the National Women's Business Council in D.C. by U.S. Congressman David Scott in 2018, Shaw continues to increase the support of women in business and women owned businesses, through her organization, Southern Crescent Women In Business Inc. Expanding their reach to young women, Southern Crescent Women In Business launched, Young Women of Excellence and STEM Exstension and Camp to provide mentoring and access to young girls.

Recognized for her community literacy work by the State of Georgia by State Proclamation, Ariel is also the Founder of Real Leaders Read Initiative. An Initiative which seeks to increase literacy among elementary aged children, seeking to reduce the school to prison by pipeline by inspiring a love of reading.

Ariel Shaw richly serves her community in various roles which include but is not limited to TAG_Ed Advisory Board, Appointee to The City of Stockbridge Development Authority, Henry County Chair Transition Committee, Appointee to The Henry County Small Business Restart Committee, District STEM Advisory Committee, Chamber Government Affairs Committee, Chair of DMS Council, and more. Ariel has also served on the Professional Services Committee of One Henry, Inc where they explored the County's first business incubator. Ariel received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of South Carolina in Columbia SC. She went on to obtain her Master’s in Business Administration and is currently enrolled in a Doctorate of Public Administration program.

Ariel has received numerous awards, recognitions, and features including but not limited to a Resolution from the U.S. Congress, Commendation from the Governor of Georgia, a Proclamation from the Georgia Senate, recognition as one of Atlanta's Top 100 Women of Influence by the Atlanta Business League, a Proclamation from the Henry County Board of Commissioners, The City of Stockbridge Women’s History Month Award, Black Enterprise Feature, Sheen Magazine Cover and Feature, Our Blk Woman Magazine Cover and Feature, We Empower Magazine Cover and Feature, Voyage ATL Feature, and Feature for multiple years in a row in Who's Who Among Influential African Americans by Real Times Media.

Recognized as an Influencer, Ariel has authored Business and Credit 101 and co-authored "Secrets to Success for Women In Business" which are both available on Amazon.
