Michelle supports humans who think it's groovy to be strong, spirited, and wild with personal wellness training, J.A.M. Sessions (Journal Art & Movement workshops), and WiLD journaling programs.

Born in Iowa, Michelle Bernard's lived in the cities of her dreams including Chicago, L.A., Osaka, Japan, and New York City; administering projects within the performing arts, education & well-being lifestyle coaching.

She was awarded a New York City Teaching Fellowship for her master's degree in education. She established the curriculum for the Theatre Arts department in a Bronx high school for students with special needs that focused on conflict-resolution & self-empowerment. She also developed two programs for grade school children, Creative Movement for Enlightened Minds yoga and Stand in Your Light drama class, for CUNY schools in New York City.

Michelle Bernard's first wellness book for weight-loss and sustainable transformation, LEAN HAPPY HEALTHY YOU, is based on her vast experience training fitness and yoga clients for 30 years in Los Angeles and New York City.

BEYOND WORDS--FINDING FULFILLMENT BETWEEN THE LINES, grew out of the healing and wisdom garnered through journaling every day. This book shows how to sharpen your internal compass, heal your past, and connect to your future self through journaling. It's autobiographical, speckled with stories and poetry born from her journals.

Paper Coach, released in 2024, is a comprehensive wellness journal & log that promotes building a caring relationship with your body and life. And WHATEVER | A JOURNAL FOR THE STUFF I THINK is a journal that helps young people amplify their voice with confidence and empower self-efficacy.

Michelle watches the tennis channel each day, soaks in a salt bath at night, and adores sunny Mondays. (Cue the Mary Tyler Moore theme song[s]. Some of you know there are two. Both are applicable--cue both.)

She's obsessed with gorilla documentaries, Bossa Nova & anything to do with Barbra Streisand.
