Joel Russell

A professional business journalist, I have worked for a number of publications and spent nearly three years in Mexico City. I took advantage of the opportunity to travel the country -- hence the frequent Mexican and Hispanic influence in my stories. (I was an editor at Hispanic Business magazine for 11 years.)

In addition to the fiction and comics I've written, I have edited several books, most notably "Finding Octave: The Untold Story of Two Creole Families" by Nick Douglas.

Currently I live in Oxnard, Calif.
