Kimberly K Schmidt

Kimberly K. Schmidt writes children's books that are beautifully illustrated, relatable, fun and teach kids life lessons about kindness to others. All of her books are set on Grayson Farm and feature delightful, farm animal characters. She and her husband live on a farm near Charlottesville, Virginia with her ten horses, three dogs, four cats, many chickens' and one miniature goat named Henry.

Somehow these animals always seem to find their way into Kim's stories. She spends her time breeding and training horses, teaching riding lessons, and writing children's books.

Kimberly has written four books:

LISTEN is a hardback book for ages 4 to 8. This is a sweet story with gorgeous color illustrations and a lovely, inspirational ending. A guaranteed "Awww" moment at the end.

HENRY'S DISCOVERY is a hardback book for ages 4 to 8. Henry the goat, living on Grayson Farm, is desperate to find what he is only to learn that its who he is that counts. A delightful story with gorgeous full color illustrations a wonderful message about whats on the inside is what matters, not what one is labelled or looks like.

THE HEN HOUSE and LYDIA'S SECRET are middle grade chapter books in the Adventure at Grayson Farm series for ages 8 to 12. Beautiful black and white ink drawings are throughout this fun,fast past adventure series, teaching the lessons of acceptance, courage, and friendship.
