Marta Villegas

Marta Villegas -AWA- combines her love for children’s literature with her profession as a cultural manager at the Royal Opera House-Madrid.

Her multilingual book "Womagis United States of America" is Award-Winning in the Best Children’s Fiction Picture Book-bilingual category of the International Latino Book Awards, and Award-Winning Finalist in the Children's Picture Book: Softcover Fiction category of the 2020 American Fiction Awards.

Marta is also author of "The wizard of the desert", a picture book published by Penguin Random House, and coauthor of "The name of the whale", published by the prestigious Mexican publisher Fondo de Cultura Económica.
