Sheila Robinson

Sheila Robinson born 1943 in Long Branch New Jersey, is the granddaughter of a Pentecostal preacher. After graduating Valedictorian of her Nursing School class of 1965, she developed her extensive skills as an RN for many years. Additionally, she had a 30-year radio broadcasting career. She then went on to earn her Masters and Doctoral degrees from Fuller Theological and San Francisco Theological Seminaries respectively. During this time she exercised her writing abilities to complete her first book, a book of poetry, “Words of Praise” which she subsequently joined together with other poems to create “My Perfect God” a compilation of her poetic writings for which she received the Peninsula Book Club Award for literary excellence among African American writers.

Love for travel combined with her RN expertise, took her to Montego Bay and Kingston, Jamaica for a Medical and Evangelistic Outreach Crusade in 1999. Further, she was invited by The Citizen Ambassador Program of People to People International, in conjunction with the China Women’s Association for Science and Technology, to attend the US/China Joint Conference of Women’s Issues, in Beijing People’s Republic of China. She was also invited by the Jordan Tourism Board of North America to travel to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the Middle East, "The Other Holy Land," according to the Jordanians. This first visit to Jordan allowed Rev. Doctor Robinson to see and experience first-hand, the many amazing biblical sites referenced in Scripture. And she holds dear the occasion of her baptism in the ancient waters of the Jordan River. In 2015, Rev. Robinson completed her 1st novel, “Those Old Women: tell their stories”
