Della Goldsworth’s passion for becoming an advocate for people with dementia began with volunteer work in hospice care. She noticed that the little things, such as knowing a resident’s favorite memories or how they liked their tea, added to their quality of life. This passion grew into an idea for a guide to help caregivers maintain their residents’ dignity and make life with dementia or a communication-limiting disease as comfortable and fulfilling as possible.
When Della isn’t caring for the elderly, she devotes her time to her partner, three kids, various cats, dogs, chickens, and the occasional foster duck egg. She does it all by self-care, living a healthy life style of eating whole foods (most of the time), exercise, and baking all the cakes!
