Matthew Neighbours

I grew up in Wisconsin and currently live in Upper Michigan, working for the U.S. Forest Service. The more that I write, the more I enjoy it, where I get to create a certain feeling, mood, and world of my own that I can temporarily live within.

I love the idea of bringing stories to life that are sad, dark, and yet beautiful. There are many influences to my work, such as Stephen King and Agatha Christie, or films by David Lynch and Alfred Hitchcock. Also, all the beautiful melancholic music like Daughter, Adna, and Many Rooms, that captures so well the mood that I try to create in my own work.
