A life-long resident of Washington state, Daniel grew up in Renton (Go Lindbergh Eagles!) but now lives in his dream town of Metaline. Should you ever decide to visit him (a call or text first would be good) you have only to travel to the tippy-toppiest northeast corner of the state. When there's nothing left ahead but Canada and nothing left to the right but Idaho, you are there. He lives in wedded bliss (no lie or exaggeration) with his beautiful bride and together they keep company with Copper the Wonder Poodle and Tucker the Happy Havanese.
Daniel started his professional life as a barber, but standing in one place grew old, so he hit the road. After 22 years as a trucker, driving everywhere grew old as well and he shifted gears again, entering the nursing field. It was messier than trucking but more satisfying at the end of the day. After 10 years of that, he realized the nursing field requires a younger body than he possessed, so he went back to driving. He now transports folks around the greater Metaline area and beyond in a community bus. Someday he hopes to retire and spend his days writing the best books this side of illiteracy.
His current dream is to someday sell enough books to enable the purchase of his own deserted island somewhere in a warm but not too hot climate. Helping Daniel realize his dream is simple - just buy his books. Heck, buy lots of them. Buy far more than you can possibly use. Think 'gifts.' Christmas, birthday, Hannukah, graduation, wedding, retiring - it's all good, and if you help him get that private island, he'll look forward to lots of visits from all his adoring fans.
