William Kurth

William Kurth is an American author known for his engaging blend of speculative fiction, thrilling crime drama, and futuristic technology. With over 30 years of law enforcement experience, Kurth has become a recognized authority on police policy, use of force, and small arms. He has served as a subject matter expert for Homeland Security and the military and as an expert witness in both state and federal courts. His diverse roles as a police officer, hostage negotiator, SWAT officer, and Command-Level Officer bring a unique and authentic perspective to his writing, infusing his crime thrillers with intense realism and high-stakes drama.

Kurth's debut novel, The Metaverse: Virtual Life-Real Death (2017), introduced a series set in a near-future world where virtual reality is seamlessly woven into everyday life. When he’s not writing, Kurth spends his winters managing a ski school in New Mexico, sharing his love for skiing with others. In the summer, he enjoys time in Greece with his wife, daughters, and a close-knit circle of family and friends.
