William Wesley

William Wesley Fields is a literature graduate of the College of Creative Studies in Santa Barbara who was mentored by its founder, Marvin Mudrick. He attended the Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles and trained in emergency medicine at Harbor-UCLA before becoming an associated clinical professor at UC Irvine, chairing a national multi-specialty partnership [Vituity], and serving in leadership positions in the American College of Emergency Physicians.

The author has been published in a number of peer-reviewed healthcare journals under his surname, co-founded the Emergency Medicine Policy Institute, and collaborated on acute care studies by RAND and the Brookings Institutions.

As William Wesley, his first novel, Doctorcito, was purchased by Jeremy Tarcher while was a medical student at USC. His second novel, Ghost Dancing, an EMTALA Tale, is a medico-legal thriller. His third, Concessions and Betrayals, is the first in a series based on a family legacy in the Middle East.
