Carol Summerfield

Carol Summerfield is a published author of fiction and non-fiction work, working across genres, from Young Adult, to science fiction and fantasy, with the occasional venture into non-fiction, having begun her career in reference book publishing. She crushes it in trivia games.

The most illustrious and entertaining non-fiction project was helping to develop and edit the Encyclopedia of Chicago, with three historians and an editorial board of some of the best and brightest from the academic world. Jamming the history of Chicago into a 1000-page book was a herculean task of ruthless editing. But it made Carol fully equipped to give unsolicited commentary of an inordinate number of historical sites and events while driving people around Chicago.

She’s lived in Michigan, Virginia, Idaho, Paris, the Central African Republic, and traveled extensively through Europe and Asia; but she’s settled down now in Chicago. For more information please contact her agent Jessica Craig.
