Dr. Eisenwine has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Texas Tech University. Her Ph. D. is in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a retired, tenured professor of education from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. Previously, she taught for 25 years in Texas public schools, including seven years as a Reading Recovery® teacher. Her research interests include literacy acquisition, technology infusion, and archaeology education. During her professional career, she presented at national conferences in the fields of curriculum, early childhood, English/language arts, mathematics, physical education, reading, and social studies. She also published articles in state, national, and international journals.
Dr. Eisenwine currently lives in San Angelo, Texas with her husband. Since retiring, they now spend half the year at their mountain home in Ruidoso, New Mexico. They have a total of three children, seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
