Stephen Choi studied English at Yonsei University and the Graduate School of the same university in Seoul, South Korea. He taught English at Yonsei University and other colleges in Seoul. He studied John Barth as a visiting professor at the University of Hawaii. He taught Korean to American soldiers at Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center. Having taught English and Korean for decades, he believes that reading great books is one of the best ways to change the world for the better, and that one of the best ways to achieve the highest score in any English test is to understand the hardest core words to read great books. This book, he believes, would be a milestone in your career and any standardized verbal test, and a beacon of intelligence for you, who could make history. Stephen Choi now lives in the Monterey Peninsula with his wife, writing his next book, of which some sentences, he wishes, could be quoted as example sentences of key words in future editions of the book, "1650 INTELLIGENT WORDS."
