Colleen Rowe

Colleen is an occupational therapist with 30 years experience. She gathers stories about the daily challenges of the hundreds of people she has worked with, and explains the science of why your mood, emotional responses and pain interfere with your everyday enjoyment.

Colleen has worked in cities, country towns and remote communities; with people in acute care, rehabilitation, and those who have fallen through the cracks of the health care system.

In her writing, Colleen brings together this unique blend of experience to provide her readers with the tools to better manage the things they need and want to do in daily life:

“I love that occupational therapy concentrates on the doing side of living. Life’s experiences and everyday challenges change over time – often gradually and predictably; sometimes dramatically with no warning. My aim with my writing is to lessen the impact these challenges impose on you, to find ways to enrich the valued aspects of your lifestyle.”

Colleen grew up in rural communities in southern Australia, lived in Melbourne during her teenage and student days, and has spent most of her adult life living in the tropics. She is currently based in Brisbane. You can connect with Colleen at her website: www.workableliving.com.au
