Maree Smets

Hello, my name is Haley but I go by Maree. I am currently in my third year of college and writing to achieve my dreams and get my name out there. I love to write about anything truly but my heart lies somewhere between mystery, fantasy and romance. In the end, it all just falls into place, with each of my books. I write as a hobby and it is something I love to do, it has become a part of me and has made me who i am today. I started my first book four years ago and so far in three years I have three completed books and a whole lot more on the way. I love sports and so I want to be a sports journalist, hopefully I can land a job in a hockey arena. For over half my life I have grown up in a hockey rink, its where I feel I belong. It all has to do with my brother who has led me to my dream of becoming a sports journalist. I currently have a an Associates of Arts degree, which I am very proud of and now onto get my Bachelors. I love to write and take pictures, so the images I use are from my own life and those things around me. I have a love for all things that come to us at the right moment that we must wait and be patient because all good things come to us in time. I love philosophy to be honest and the understanding of things around us without having a solid answer to be given. That isn't all because if I am not wondering about something, I am always learning something new. History is another aspect of my life that I love too, I love going to different places and learning about the history especially our nations history. A true romantic and a mind full of wonders and everlasting dreams that I strive to achieve and accomplish. My family and my friends are always there for me and I couldn't be happier, plus I wouldn't be me without them. I can't tell you, which of my books I love most because they are all a little different and come from the heart. Each story holds aspects of my life or situations that I have been through that I placed onto paper but they are more dramatic for effect.
