Jamie Sandefer

Jamie Sandefer is the author of Love You From Right Here, a Keepsake Book for Children in Foster Care. After Jamie and her husband became foster parents, they soon realized the lack of resources available to foster families and foster children.

Jamie wanted a resource that would give foster parents the words to say to a hurting child in transition. They also experienced first-hand how often children in the system have to move. On average a child in foster care will move seven times in their life. With that in mind, the book also serves as a keepsake providing a section for journaling about the child's time in the foster home. This gives families an opportunity to give the child a piece of their history if they leave.

Jamie resides in Texas with her husband and four children.
