Sarah Melo, who was raised by her godmother in her native Brazil, has called Tampa home shortly after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Languages (Portuguese and English Language and Literature) from the Universidade Presidente Antônio Carlos in Araguari, MG, Brazil, in 2009. She returned to the United States in 2010 to study English as a Second Language at the University of South Florida.
Sarah’s love of poetry, however, developed during her high school years during visits to the school’s library. It seems that math wasn’t one of Sarah’s favorite subjects. So, rather than attend those classes, she would embrace the beautiful power of words and prose. In 2015, Sarah wrote the poems that became Natasha’s Confessions and began work on Blue Flight, the first book in an upcoming trilogy.
