Darin Elliott

A constant wanderer, travel has provided me with an expansive perspective on Humanity and Possibilities, culminating in numerous articles for the UK journal 'New Humanity', short stories, and 2 memoirs, yet to be published. Recently writer (and dear friend) Alison Leslie Gold asked if I'd collaborate on a middle school novel about a girl's slow realization that her father, her hero, is an alcoholic (with the family dog providing insight and humorous commentary) and then allowed me to continue on with sequels to the dog-as-witness-to-teeneage-issues: about a 12-yr-old boy being bullied ('Elephant in the Classroom') and a 15-yr-old girl's questioning of gender roles ('Elephant in the Closet'-now available). The newest ('Elephant in the Shadows') looks at Death, both personally and historically, as the 2 kids deal with losing their favorite relative to an unknown illness.
