John was always destined to be an accountant ... and an author, eventually. Being a natural shirker at school, but having a penchant for maths, he set off down the path of finance on leaving school. He qualified as an accountant and held a number of finance positions - all being rather dull.

However he managed to join a prestigious global firm of accountants and management consultants when their guard was momentarily down.

And being a management consultant in a global firm gave him many rich and amusing experiences, both of life and of business, in numerous countries.

'He Laughed, That's All He Said' is his first novel, and recounts autobiographical and authentic stories of financial crimes which will amuse readers, as well including a smattering of romance, even though it's well known that accountants generally don't do romance.

John is now working on a second book, more comedic in its tenor, weaving into the plot the many experiences he has encountered in his long career.
