When I was thirteen my parents got a computer. This was 1987 so it was not really capable of a whole lot compared to even the cheapest phone available today, but the one thing it did have that counted more than anything else was a word processor. I began writing my first novel.
It was awful. It still is. I have a word doc on my computer that's over 30 years old. However, I kept trying and trying and on a lark I started writing another novel in 2014. Then another. Then another. Why? For fun.
I know. Weird.
So in the end I had four stories that I ended up connecting together into a solid Universe, a mythology. The last book I wrote is the first one in the series. Yesterday, after nine drafts, (and I could do nine more but you have to stop at some point) I hit the submit button to self-publish on Amazon.
I know that thousands of people do this each day and in the scheme of things it's not really all that special to the world, but that didn't stop me from being just a little excited. I never expected to make a cent off these books so if I make two cents I've doubled my profit goals.
So if anyone is looking for something to read have I got a book for you...
