Shay Weisbrich and Michael Loughman are the author and illustrator of "Wee Cloud Says Hello" and are both from the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. They collaborated on all elements of the story and art to bring Wee Cloud and his friends to life and are now planning for the next stories in the series. Additionally, they are working on an illustrated adaptation of a Japanese fairy-tale that will be previewed here as it nears completion.
Shay was formerly an educator and a member of the corporate world before moving to a magical ranch full of wildlife and big views of the sky, where she is now inspired to write books. Michael is a native of the Bay Area, with a BFA in illustration from the Academy of Art University. He has spent his life being fascinated with and drawing animals from around the world, both living and extinct, real and imaginary. He loves to share that fascination and hopes to inspire the same appreciation of animal life in children through his illustrations.
Toby, Shay's dog, makes a featured appearance in Wee Cloud, but has not let it go to his head. His favorite activity is sleeping upside down on his bed.
