Thank you for visiting my page! I am the founder and co-CIO of ViviFi Ventures (vivifiventures dot com) a real state-based private credit operation in the cannabis space. I am also in the process of starting up Wealth Horizons, with the aim to revolutionize the wealth management industry.
My writings on special economic zones stem from a passion for economic development and solutions to unleash creativity and growth beyond government aid-type strategies. This scholarship has brought me close to the movement promoting decentralized solutions for growth and personal liberty, such as private communities, charter cities, blockchain-based governance solutions, and Seasteading.
Previously, I was an analyst on William Blair’s Dynamic Allocation Strategies (DAS) team, where I was responsible for global macro research. On a voluntary basis, I serve on the Board of Trustees of the CFA Institute Research Foundation where I spearhead their video-podcast Financial Thought Exchange. I have a background in the Swedish Defense Forces, including serving two missions in Kosovo, and have worked for the Swedish Foreign Ministry in Russia.
My writing has appeared in economics journals including The Journal of Institutional Economics, The Review of Austrian Economics, and the Financial Times. I have taught undergraduate classes in economics while at George Mason University and my Ph.D. research includes special economic zones, tax policy, and municipal bankruptcy, all with a tilt towards Austrian Economics and political economy.
