Arlene Weiner

Arlene Weiner grew up in Chicago and started to write at an early age. As a child, she loved to read fairy tales and books about growing up. She favored teen books by Beverly Cleary and Maureen Daly. In the fifth grade, Arlene became an editor on her school newspaper, The Stone Leader. She graduated from colleges in Illinois and New York and specialized in education of the hearing impaired. Later, Arlene went into public relations, writing business articles for clients in technical fields. For 10 years, she was a writer and editor for The Prepaid Press, an industry publication focusing on prepaid services and cards, and payment technology. She conducted an annual conference on prepaid, held in Las Vegas. Currently, she is working on a memoir and writing children's books in collaboration with her niece, Lisa Rockoff.

Arlene lives in South Florida where she continues to love reading and writing.
